Abby Porth

Abby Porth is the Associate Executive Director of the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC). She manages complex and sensitive community relations issues, developing the strategy, communications, coalition, and crisis management plans to advance JCRC’s mission of promoting a just society and a secure Jewish future. She oversees JCRC’s advancement efforts and the organization’s external affairs, including relationship building with other ethnic and faith communities, its Jewish Coalition for Literacy, and its Year of Civil Discourse. Abby is an Officer of the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Interfaith Council, and a member of the Board of Directors of Congregation Emanu-El in San Francisco. She has previously served on the Boards of San Francisco Head Start, SF CARD, and Scattered Among the Nations, which assists geographically and politically isolated Jewish or Judaism-practicing communities. Abby is also the co-founder of the Jewish Community Memory Garden, which provides sacred physical space to Jews grieving from pregnancy losses or stillbirth.
