Mussar — A Spiritual Practice for Right Speech and More!

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Do you ever struggle with how to use words in the way that will bring most benefit to yourself and others? Right speech can be deceptively challenging to apply. Come learn some new tools, as offered by the Mussar tradition, for gaining understanding and skill with this most common aspect of interacting with others. Mussar is a Jewish practice that brings unconscious impediments to light and replaces them with a consciousness of living a more mindful life. You will leave this session understanding yourself better and with specific tools to help you navigate the daily slippery slope of being in relation to others, and the feelings and actions that go along with those encounters. (If you studied Mussar with Rabbi Daria in the past at Limmud, this year we are looking at a different attribute/middah.) Please come learn about this revolutionary, yet simple, spiritual practice.
