Rikudei Am: The Energy and Elegance of Israeli Dancing/Tzad Rishon: The First Step

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Tzad Rishon: The First Step. This session serves as an introduction to those who have never tried Israeli dancing before, or have perhaps seen it only at a bar mitzvah or wedding. Even if you don't know your right from your left, we'll have you doing mayim and Yemenite steps in no time! Put on your dance shoes and get ready to find out what Israeli dancing is all about.

Aaron Alpert

Markid, Nirkoda!
Aaron was Israeli dancing before he could walk (carried by his parents, of course)! Israeli folk dance has since served as Aaron's connection to Israel, Jewish history and religion, and the Jewish community. Whether teaching at UC Berkeley, weekend dance retreats (e.g., Camp Rikud in Malibu), or at his own monthly harkada, Aaron loves to share the joy and energy of rikudei am. Come join the wonderful community of Bay Area dancers and friends!
