The Alphabet That Changed the World

Learn how the letters of the rabbinic Hebrew alphabet are generated by hand gestures, whose natural meanings are the meaning of each letter. The Hebrew letter-gestures engage all of us with Hebrew, our lashon kodesh/holy language, by teaching and embodying it in a way that is both experiential and meaningful. When children learn the Hebrew alphabet while expressing the gestures, they also get that Hebrew learning as a whole is not just intellectual; it has a spiritual component which embodies the golden rule and how we treat each other.
