Queering Jewish Beliefs

LGBTQ+ Jews often trip over homophobic, heteronormative, and hierarchical aspects of the Jewish heritage. In hevruta pairs and in a group as a whole, we will queer traditional texts and engage in imaginative exercises to reframe aspects of Jewish traditions. The objective will be to prepare participants to continue this sacred, lifelong project.

Rabbi Jacob Staub is Professor of Jewish Philosophy and Spirituality at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in Philadelphia.
