Shoah memorialization remembers primarily the Horror Story, or what perpetrators did TO Jewish victims. Overlooked is what victims tried to do FOR one another, the Help Story. At risk of life certain European Jews aided the survival of kin and strangers alike. Their acts of stealth altruism offer a lesson in humankind's altruistic impulse and related Judaic props. Fortunately, some major museums are moving beyond horror centrism in favor of an inspiring Both/And retelling of the Shoah.
