Dena Goldberg

Dena Goldberg is a licensed and board-certified genetic counselor at UCSF. She has a BS in Integrative Biology from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana and an MS in Genetic Counseling from University of California, Irvine. She specializes in hereditary cancer syndromes and sees patients through the UCSF Cancer Genetics and Prevention Program. Outside of work, she is very passionate about teaching her community about Jewish genetics and the importance of knowing your risk for disease. Her research interests include: Jewish genetics, Chromosome 18 anomalies, and genetic counseling awareness. JScreen is a national, non-profit, public health initiative which aims to educate and create awareness for Jewish genetic screening. JScreen has made screening convenient, affordable, and easy, with an innovative at-home screening model, available in all 50 states. By educating the community, students, Rabbis, Jewish organization, etc., JScreen is helping keep future generations healthy. Take Action. Take Control. Spread the word.
